Sake spill sparks impromptu party

Sake tanker-truck bound for Walla Walla overturns - shuts down roadway, tourists consume spill

A shipment of Sake was lost Sunday night when a truck caring the rice wine overturned on Aloha road, east of Waitsburg. No injuries were reported. A tour bus, headed for Walla Walla, was delayed for some time as the accident was investigated. “We were happy to stay and help” said one tourist, “we all love Sake – just wish we had some Sushi to go with it”. The driver of the truck reportedly over-corrected when a tire blew-out causing the truck to overturn and spill the approximate 200 gallons of imported Sake.

Tourist take advantage of the trucker’s misfortune by consuming the spilled Sake – a rice wine beverage popular with Sushi lovers
